We’re Stafford Long, and we’re an advertising agency for employers. Never worked in our industry before? That’s okay. We work just like any other kind of ad agency: we create brands and campaigns that help customers connect with a product. In this case, that product is a career: we’re promoting the lifestyle of working for the brand.

We work with clients across sectors – be it retailers or restaurant chains; global banks or government agencies – and we help them define their employer brand. What they stand for, what they offer, what makes them special to the people who work for them.

Then we bring that brand to life in all sorts of activations: digital, social, experiential, OOH. Think a social campaign that helps bring more people into healthcare. Or a cinema ad that helps young Black students overcome barriers to a career in coding.
What you’ll do for us

You’re a junior to mid copywriter or content creator, with strong knowledge of writing for social, and at least a little experience of (and interest in) writing for wider creative briefs. It’s a role with three focal points, so let’s break it down:

Your particular focus will be on all things social. You’ll work very closely with our social team, to devise social media calendars, write social posts, and develop ideas for multimedia content.

On the creative copywriting side, you’ll pick up a variety of small copy-only briefs by yourself – things like long-form articles and job listings. Then, you’ll also learn how to take on larger creative projects – work like ad campaigns and brand experiences that will see you collaborate across the agency with the rest of our creative team (everyone from art directors to film directors; researchers to developers).

Ultimately, you’ll be the creative team’s social media expert and advocate: you’ll be the person who injects social inventiveness into everything we do, building knowledge in the team around you too. You’ll know what’s best-in-class across channels; you’ll stay up-to-date with the newest trends and innovations; and you’ll keep sharing stories of what you’ve seen, what you’ve learned, and how it can help our clients.
